You are at a point in your life where you want a ceremony to reflect a memorable life event, whether that be a wedding, baptism, coming of age moment, or funeral.  And you don’t want to be limited to language that can be found in a prayer book.

For more than a decade, I have been assisting couples and families with their special moments.  As a non-denominational (interfaith) pastor ordained to perform ceremonies from all of the world’s faith backgrounds, these moments have provided transformational and beautiful experiences for everyone present. 

The most important factor I’ve learned about interfaith weddings is this — when someone who is strong in their particular faith decides to attend an interfaith ceremony, they come with a certain amount of anxiety, even fear.  Perhaps it can best be expressed like this:  “What kind of indignity or insult to my faith am I going to have to experience to see these two married?  I’m dreading this!”

And what happens is that there are no indignities, no insults, just honorings for both sides and lots of loving support expressed for the couple.  Guests often stand around afterwards looking just a little puzzled, and very, very relieved.  YES!  This is the thing I most love about creating beautiful ceremonies for couples who contact me.
